– 45 letters, the second longest place name in the world according to the Guiness Book of records, Longest Place Name in New Zealand, June 2006.

3. Pseudopseudohypoparathyroidism - 30 letters. This is an inherited disorder that closely simulates the symptoms,  thus it has mild or no manifestations of hypoparathyroidism or tetanic convulsions.

4. Floccinaucinihilipilification - 29 letters.

5.  Antidisestablishmentarianism - 28 letters.

6. Honorificabilitudinitatibus - 27 letters.

Nor are words from other languages, such as Greek or Welsh. Antidisestablishment arianism (2 is to be one of the longest RECOGNIZED words in the English language. Floccinaucinihilipil ification (29) is yet another. Pseudopseudohypopara thyroidism (30)is the longest in the dictionary. The rest, as mentioned in the link below, are just invented words, or often place names, and cannot be recognized as thus.
